9+ years in the UN system, primarily in hardship duty stations (MINUSCA, MINUSMA, MONUSCO)
Background in and practitioner of human rights, legal reforms, judicial affairs and project management
Experience with external partners and donors, multilateral and bilateral, European Commission
In-depth knowledge of UN Staff Rules & Regulations, HR policies, disciplinary procedures and staff rights
In-depth knowledge of UN system, interagency dynamics and programming
Deep understanding of staff concerns, needs and challenges, including for women in the field
Skilled in negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution
Analytical, critical, persistent
Approachable, solution-oriented and impartial

I will complement my seasoned co-candidates by bringing fresh perspectives, with an in depth understanding of challenges facing all staff categories, from those stagnant in positions without support, to colleagues balancing personal and professional lives, to staff unsure of their rights in these uncertain times.

As your UNFSU Vice-President candidate, I pledge an open-door policy where every voice is heard, and solutions are found collaboratively. I will work towards ensuring more transparency, better communication, more inclusivity on all levels. I will work against discrimination in any form and lack of transparency whether in recruitment, promotions, separations, reforms or daily interactions.

I will fight for job security, opportunities for growth, learning and professional advancement, including through mobility. I will push to increase work-life balance, including psychological support, and equal treatment across all levels and contract types. I will ensure that all staff have proper support – such as gender-based family-friendly policies, adequate medical care, and workplace flexibility.

My objectives in representing you shall be to:

Promote transparency and accountability in decision making.
Improve communication and information-sharing.
Advocate for effective family-friendly policies, work-life balance and duty of care obligations.
Defend jobs and development opportunities despite ongoing reforms.
Strengthen support to separating staff and ensure the smooth processing of their entitlements.
