					Job Security
The liquidity crisis and UN80 reform pose major threats to job security and fairness. Our 4-tier plan asserts that staff should not be treated as contingency. Permanent staffing cuts harm both employees and the organization. We shall request that instead, temporary measures be sought and, when downsizing is unavoidable, we will promote transparency, exhaust all alternatives to layoffs, enforce controls against favoritism and discrimination, and provide fair options for affected staff.
We shall also ensure that staff are not unnecessarily terminated due to the convergence of multiple dynamics of reforms, liquidity challenges, regular restructuring, civilian staffing reviews, nationalization and mandate changes. Meanwhile, we shall dedicate our efforts to timely granting continuing appointments or the longer fixed-term appointments to eligible staff members. We shall act firmly against any risk to your status as staff, especially the risk of centralization of support services to those who are in the Field Staff category. We shall pursue a solid legal and ethical basis for the exercise of potential workforce reshaping.
